#GivingTuesday. Tuesday, November 27 marks #GivingTuesday, a global giving movement. People come to The Wild Center to be thrilled by the wonders of the wild, and they leave with a new understanding of our interdependence with nature. They also leave with a sense of hope. Be part of this critically important goal of helping people fall in love with nature. Can't wait until November 27? Visit our website to give now...
Holiday Vacation Week. Wednesday, December 26 - Monday, December 31 from 10am - 5pm. The Wild Center will open its doors between Christmas and New Years. Come enjoy our trails with free snowshoe rentals, or drop by and say hello to the otters. Special programs will be happening all day, including animal encounters and - for those of you ready to brave the cold - naturalist walks.
Now Open: We Are All Related. This new art exhibit was curated by David Kanietakeron Fadden, Jaclyn Hall, Sue Ellen Herne and Victoria Ransom.  Artwork, which includes paintings, pottery, sculpture, beadwork, basketry and traditional clothing, is arranged by generational family to show the influence and reinforce the importance of the relationship among not only the individual families, but the whole community.

We Are All Related is also an interactive art exhibit with the always popular Artists Studio, where visitors can draw inspiration from the surrounding work as they create their own watercolor pieces, in the center of the exhibit.  Visitors can also learn the art of embroidery and weaving.
Ways of Knowing. Indigenous voices come together to bring you Ways of Knowing. Working in partnership, the Akwesasne Cultural Center, The Six Nations Indian Museum, the Native North American Travelling College and The Wild Center unite to broaden and heighten our understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

Experience Ways of Knowing in exhibits at The Wild Center that explore traditional ecological knowledge and invite us to consider different perspectives of nature.  Start with a new interpretation of a living wetland through the lens of the Haudenosaunee (Six Nations/Iroquois) Thanksgiving Address. Artist Dave Fadden’s colorful illustrations invite you to explore the ways our existence is interconnected with the natural world. Now open, We Are All Related, an art show expressing indigenous voices through art as we explore our relationship to each other and to the natural world.
